I didn't love these and returned all three colors that I ordered. The bodice was too tight and too long for my liking. I also felt like the calf portion was too tight. I was looking for something more comfortable that I can wear all day.
This is my third jumper and maybe my favourite one yet! I have two tank top versions and they both are a bit of a thicker material and fit a bit more snuggly. With this sleeved one, the material is amazing. Thinner and so soft and stretchy. I was worried it may be tighter like my other two - and I have bigger arms. But it fits beautifully! I’m 5’4 and 127lbs for reference. I want it now in all the colours! The green I got is so so beautiful. I’ll be wearing this all the time! 🎉
So comfortable, I’m so pleased. I want one in every color. 💯
I am thrilled with all of my IMBODHI jumpers. The material is like butter; the material is sustainable; the material doesn't shrink when I wash it. I wear this when I'm relaxing, when I'm dancing, when I'm walking and I've also dressed it up with some wedges and a kimono. I absolutely feel so comfortable yet also stylish when I'm wearing them. I have white, black, and chive. I am officially a collector and forever fan and will continue to purchase different colors so that I can live in these all the damn time!! Multipurpose and all purpose made with love and care. Love this brand so so much.
I rarely leave reviews for things, but this piece is worth reviewing.
For reference, I normally wear a US size 12-14, size 14 more than usual because I like things to fit a little looser and because biceps are a thing. I'm also 5'2", and my bra size is 38D. I chose size XL for this style (95% modal, 5% spandex, short sleeve), and it fits beautifully true to size. As a petite person, I sometimes have issues where the torso fits disproportionately longer than my actual torso, but this is not the case for this style once actually on. The top half of this jumpsuit, excluding the sleeves, is double lined and lightly compressive. The arms are also somewhat compressive but not uncomfortable.
I tend to have issues with activewear/leggings fitting too tightly over the thighs, so this style is perfect for that. There's definitely enough tapering toward the ankle so that the hem isn't dragging on the floor. I use this jumpsuit for practicing yoga at home and for running errands. Going upside down is no problem with this, and there's zero adjustments needed because everything stays where it should. The fabric is buttery smooth and breathable but still feels dense and high quality. It also has unobtrusive pockets, which really just ought to seal the deal.
Some cons: pilling does occur under the arms, but this is inevitable due to the friction. Also, I'd imagine the fabric can be easily snagged due to its smoothness so definitely be careful with it. I find the fit pretty flattering overall, but some people might find the pleating on the waist a no-no. The high visibility of the brand name on the back is definitely a pet peeve I'm sure others share. Speaking of which, the brand name itself seems to be just the word "embody" but spelled in an "exotic Asian style" which I find to be absolutely unnecessary, to say the least.
I've washed it inside out in a mesh bag (line dry), and it came out just fine, no problems. I don't recommend clothing items very easily, but I can tell that a lot of thought went into this jumpsuit. If you value comfort (and can get past the brand name), I think you will enjoy this jumpsuit immensely.
